Terms of Service
Effective July 14, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Optima Planner's mobile apps, website, and related services. By using Optima, you agree to them.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If local law requires a higher age or parental consent, that requirement applies. You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your sign-in credentials, and activity through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account is compromised.
2. The service
Optima provides planning tools such as tasks, calendars, habits, reminders, insights, and optional AI-assisted features. Features may differ by device, platform, region, account, or release stage. We may improve, add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, while taking reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary disruption.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Optima. You grant Optima a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and provide features you request. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content.
4. Connected calendars and third-party services
You may connect services such as Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar. You authorize Optima to access and modify connected calendar information only to provide actions you request. Your use of third-party services remains subject to their terms and policies. Optima is not responsible for third-party outages, account restrictions, or changes. Disconnecting a provider may stop synchronization without deleting data already stored by that provider.
5. AI-assisted features
AI-generated suggestions, time estimates, task breakdowns, scan results, and similar outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review outputs before relying on them, especially for important schedules, travel, finances, health, safety, or legal matters. You are responsible for decisions and actions based on those outputs. Do not submit information you are not permitted to share.
6. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use Optima unlawfully, deceptively, or to harm others.
- Access another person's account or data without permission.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent security or access controls, except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Upload malware or content that infringes rights, violates privacy, or is abusive or illegal.
- Use automated means to scrape the service or create competing datasets without written permission.
- Misrepresent affiliation with Optima or resell the service without permission.
7. Fees and subscriptions
Some features may be free, offered during early access, or later require payment. Before charging you, Optima or the applicable app marketplace will show the price, billing period, and material terms. Marketplace purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are also governed by that marketplace's rules. We will not retroactively charge for features used while clearly offered free.
8. Intellectual property
Optima, including its software, design, branding, and service content other than your content, is owned by Optima Planner or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use Optima for its intended purpose.
9. Termination
You may stop using Optima at any time and may request account deletion. We may restrict or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will survive.
10. Disclaimers
Optima is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect synchronization, preservation of every item, or that suggestions will be accurate. Optima is a general planning tool and does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Optima Planner and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the service. Our total liability for claims relating to Optima will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Optima during the 12 months before the claim or US$100. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
12. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or security changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, or sale.
